Opportunity Texas Updates

We applaud the State Board of Education for approving robust curriculum standards for the new statutory requirement (SB 290 authored by Senator Watson) that financial literacy be incorporated into the K-8 grade math curriculum. In response to our comment letter - endorsed by six other stakeholders - the State Board of Education incorporated nearly all of our recommendations focused on increasing student financial capability and family financial security.
